BIO

I’m not big on talking about myself. I never have been, and I don’t really think I ever will be. For me, what matters are the images I make.

I grew up in a small town outside of Pittsburgh where photography wasn’t something you set your sights on doing for a living. I moved south and went to photography school in Florida where I made the decision to become a successful commercial photographer. Along the way, I became interested in moving images and became a director as well.

I worked my ass off, and I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the best creatives in the world who hired me to do what I love to do – make images. As a result, I’ve traveled the world and found myself in places I could never have imagined, and I’ve met amazing people along the way. I’ve worked with a dream list of clients, and I’ve won enough industry awards that even my mom is proud.

I’ve had a couple of books published, my photographs have been exhibited in galleries and museums in the U.S. and Europe, and I have photographs in the permanent collections of a few museums.

I have a hard time differentiating between my assignment work and my personal work. Whether I’m doing an ad campaign, a look book, an editorial shoot, a TV spot or a pro bono project, it’s personal for me. Everything I shoot is personal. My favorite job is always my next job because there’s nothing I enjoy more than making images, aside from my family of course.

I love what I do. I truly do. I couldn’t have chosen a better career for myself, and I can’t imagine spending my life doing anything other than exactly what I’m doing.
